The father of a loyalist murder victim is to hand over a damning dossier to
ceasefire observers next week which will include the name of the UVF boss
who ordered his son's murder.
Raymond McCord snr is due to meet the Independent Monitoring Commission
next Wednesday to highlight what he claims are breaches of the terror
group's ceasefire.
Including in the extensive dossier are the names of those who ordered and
carried out the brutal 1997 attack on his son.
Mr McCord claims his son's murderer is being protected because of his work
as a police informer.
The north Belfast man said: "We have had a lot of talk recently about the
UDA and the IRA ceasefire, but the UVF carried out most of the murders in
the loyalist community.
"It seems no-one wants to come out and criticise the PUP.
"As far as I'm concerned it's just a political cover-up to protect and keep
them on board."
His comments came a UVF commander in Donegall Pass in south Belfast was
stood down after the organisation was blamed for distributing racist
leaflets targeting the Chinese community.
Meanwhile in north Belfast a number of senior UVF figures have been stood
down in a rift over drugs money.
UVF sources claim that the brigadier for East Antrim was stood down by the
organisation's chief of staff in a row over cash.
He handed over £20,000 to the Shankill Road leadership when almost £500,000
had been made.
